When the ground hog sees its shadow...

Supposedly means 6 more weeks of Winter. This may be true for the states/countries closer to the north and south poles of the world... but here in El Paso, TX we maybe got one week of cooler weather.... just in time for Walmart to put out it's Easter candy- Easter eggs!! The Eggs the Easter Bunny laid!?!?

and then of course the windy days came.. :-/ Windy days in El Paso aren't like those days where flying a kite is a good idea or wearing your hair down so it can flow beautifully in the wind is a good idea. Windy days in El Paso are more like don't bother combing your hair because it won't look like you did anyways, and you can brush your teeth in the morning, just know that you're probably going to be chewing on dirt for the rest of that day.

Niko and Nathaniel though love, love being outside! Well, Niko loves, loves it.. Nathaniel is starting to love, love it! Mikey and I are excited to start a landscaping project for our backyard so our boys can have a safe and fun place to play. I will be posting pictures of our yard once it's complete. :-D

Here our a few pictures of Nathaniel and Niko playing outside!

Nathaniel hasn't started crawling yet.. but at 6 months old, he sure is trying very hard. I caught him on video almost crawling. He looks like a wild animal pawing his prey.

It's funny! Here's the video:

Nathaniel is also trying real hard to go from a crawling position to a sitting position. He almost has it!! I got that on video also! Here are the pictures of the boys playing and a video of Nathaniel.

From crawling position to sitting position almost!!

Niko is starting to really like playing basketball! Today I taught him what it's called when you completely miss the basket and hit nothing.. "air ball" He got a kick out of me saying "air ball" that he would purposely miss it, just so I could say it! He tried missing the basket once today and actually made it! lol! Silly boy! Here is a video of Niko playing basketball with a literal basket! We don't have a basketball net for him yet. :-D hey it works

Nathaniel looks up to Niko, he really loves his big brother, and Niko is such a good and loving older brother to Nathaniel. It is such a blessing to see Niko's love for his brother and how Nathaniel just lights up to see him. Niko and him play the laughing game; Where Nathaniel will be in his station and Niko will come around the corner, peek his head out looking at Nathaniel and Nathaniel will make a deep sound, that sounds like he is saying "heeeeey" and then Niko will repeat the "heeeey" or something and laugh and then Nathaniel will laugh too! This will happen for about 5 minutes and it's so funny to watch. I haven't gotten this on video yet but if I do, I'll be sure to post. Nathaniel though, loves to watch Niko play with all his toys. Niko will run down the hallway rolling his trucks or driving his Pooh truck down the hallway. So Nathaniel just observes. Today Nathaniel decided to bulldoze Niko's Pooh truck down the hall using his walker as the bulldozer. It was funny to see, because he was so determine to grab the truck, but he kept pushing it forward more. Here's two videos of Nathaniel the little bulldozer :-D
