Niko is 21 months old!!!!

Everyday Niko seems to learn a new word or he already knew it, he just has never said it before. He is now saying and understanding a whole lot more! Sometimes I treat him like he's older than he really is because he is showing us how independent he wants to be. He is starting to understand that I have a baby in my belly, although he still tries to find the baby by lifting up my shirt. One day Niko brought his play piano to the living room in our home and started playing the piano and singing along with it. The song really wasn't any particular song it was just his very own made up song! Here are two videos of him playing his piano and singing!

 

Niko loves being outdoors! Even though here in El Paso we have had a bad drought and bad winds but it doesn't seem to stop him from wanting to be outdoors. One day I went with him to our neighborhood park and he chose for the first time to go up the slide all by himself. He is careful but extremely daring. Once he figures out how to do something and perfects it he wants to continue doing it again and again, even if it's dangerous. The playground slide at our church is taller than the one by our home and he already is going up and down that by himself. I get more nervous just watching him but he shows us his confidence in knowing he knows what he is doing. It's fun to see him grow! We are just so blessed to see all these new steps he is taking!
